Keeping It Real

Cocooning Survival Tactic #1:

Sometimes, while cocooning, a Mama can go a wee bit stir-crazy. If you sense cabin fever creeping in, here’s what you do: Strap the kiddos into their carseats, divvy up the snacks, and drive around in circles. Bonus points for hitting the Starbuck’s drive-thru and/or enduring Angelina Ballerina on repeat in the DVD player.

Not that I know, or anything.

Shout Outs:

Thanks to my dear friend and fellow adoptive mama, Jes, who delivered dinner to my door tonight, though she wasn’t signed up to do so.

Thank you to Lacey and Linda for stocking my fridge with wholesome food to feed my family throughout the day.

Thank you Awanas, for shaking the sillies out of my big girls while simultaneously affording brother mom & dad some peace and quiet this evening.

Thanks to all my Besties who regularly check up on me and ask, “No, how are you really doing?”

Thank you, Holy Spirit, for love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, which I could not muster in my own strength.

Thanks to Handsome Husband for working your tail off so that I can stay at home with these three precious stinkers.

Oh! And thanks to my mother-in-law for going into labor with him 34 years ago tonight.
