It was the briefest of summers. From tardy arrival due to viral pandemic to abrupt, early end from raging inferno and the suffocating ash of a million smoldering acres.
Simple pleasures, a slower pace; milestones and mini-vacays… basketball and bicycles, manicures and sleepovers, a first job and a driver’s permit. This, then, is our fond farewell to a short-lived summer.
