Today marks 15 years that I’ve been Mrs. Handsome Husband. Fifteen!
Apparently, it’s our crystal anniversary. What the heck does that mean?
Regarding crystal: Clear, transparent, of fine quality and a high degree of brilliance.
Metaphorically speaking, the description’s rather poetic and an admirable ambition for any marriage. I’ll take it!
I was just a wee lass when we wed, but I’m grateful for all of the years we’ve had to grow up together. Our first dance was to Ben E. King’s timeless ballad, “Stand By Me” which proved prophetic as we’ve certainly walked through our fair share of trials firmly fixed at each other’s side.
Truth is, I’m crazy about him. A child of divorce, I never imagined I could be so happily married. Not to infer it’s been all gumdrops & roses, without tenacious cultivation. Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift.
