If you recall from hints in my earlier post, the only items purchased new for the girls were pipe-cleaners, for the Pippi braids, and green Rit dye, to provide our archer the look she was after. Little man’s hat was crafted from remnant fabric, hot glue & stuffed with paper towels over his bike helmet. We bought another package of Rit dye to make his little vest– which is really just a tshirt that we cut apart (this momma is not a seamstress)– then added a wee bit of yellow dimensional fabric paint for the piping. We bought him some new long underwear to complete the ensemble, which he will surely get lots of mileage out of once our frigid Montana winter arrives. Total expense: Less than $20. (I’m not counting the long underwear.)

And guess who is beginning to potty-train, in earnest?

pretty stoked to pick up his first package of “big boys”

In other news, we finally cut the proverbial umbilical cord and sold our house in Oregon. It closed today, Halloween, and it feels goooooodWhile visiting recently, the kids and I walked through the house both to oversee some repairs and to say a final goodbye. Later that same day we drove by our first home, which I coincidentally moved into solo (Husband was deployed, pre-children) eleven years ago today– Halloween.

our first home sweet home, first baby brought here from the hospital

It astounds me how much has changed in our lives in just a little over a decade. To God be the glory!
