Early December Throwbacks

Have I mentioned I love Christmas?

We actually don’t do much with Santa, but you get the idea. Buddy the Elf is my spirit animal.

Yesterday I combed the kids’ hair, dressed them in clean, matching clothing, and drove to a field near our home in hopes of snapping a decent pic for this year’s warm holiday greetings– which Minted is graciously printing for us again this year. Don’t forget to enter the giveaway HERE wherein two of my very own pals will win $125 credits for their own Christmas cards! (*Updated, Tanaya M. & Laurie T. won, be sure to check out additional deals & discounts over at Minted.com!)

go tell it on the mountains, y’all

Back home, we dug out bins of Christmas décor and switched the Pandora station to Traditional Christmas Radio.

Throwbacks:

Last year at this time we were similarly decking the halls.

Two years ago we were still working off turkey tryptophan.

Three years agowhile Little Man was still yet in China, the girls began a service project for advent.

Seven years ago I shared this musing on Facebook: “December 1st and ALL of the candies in [Firstborn]’s advent calendar have been popped out and devoured. She is my daughter.”

And because my Sassy Grandma is ever on my mind of late

with firstborn…
…center sister…
… and little man, whom she affectionately tried to re-name “skipper”.

Happy Thursday!
